Lead Data Engineering Consultant

As a Lead Data Engineering Consultant at Ensono Digital, we will expect you to be playing a key leadership role. Most of your time will be spent building one of our client’s big data solutions and you will help that client to realise the business benefit of an investment into the cloud.

About the role and what you'll be doing

We expect our Technical Leads to be hands-on and responsible for assisting our clients in the design, architecture, security management and governance of their big data solutions. You will be responsible for designing data lakes and massive scale ingestion pipeline solutions, including batch/grid, micro batching, stream processing and lambda solutions. Ultimately, you will be responsible for designing data solutions which encompass high utilisation, elastic scaling and efficient data distribution for our clients.

You will work closely with senior technical people from the client, navigating through complex stakeholder relationships, guiding architectural and technical decisions, as well as playing a leadership position coaching and mentoring members of the project team.

Ensono Digital has a diverse set of communities as well as your core competency that you’ll be encouraged to contribute to, and learn from, where projects and client commitments allow.

You will be a self-starter, and proactive in your project work and your career, continuously looking for ways to add value, improve and lead your community and Ensono Digital.

We are a client-facing business, but we do encourage clients to allow us to work remotely for a majority of the time so if you are not required to be on client site, you can choose to work from home or in our Ensono Digital offices.

What you’ll bring to Ensono Digital

  • Designing data solutions which encompass high utilisation, elastic scaling and efficient data distribution and partitioning
  • Implementing system solutions using the most appropriate cloud-based services/platform with a deep understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of different enterprise environments
  • Confidently taking on challenges and being responsible for outcomes

  • Understanding the way projects affect your client’s success and adds value to their business
  • Great communication skills, in particular: presenting, collaborating and partnering with stakeholders
